Dr. Kevin Hafez – KAEC Healthcare Director
Dr. Kevin K. Hafez, graduated from medical school with Summa Cum Laude. After graduation, he participated in teaching undergraduates and post graduates Medical students and residents at Dalhousie University in Canada. Dr Kevin is a Family and Emergency Medicine consultant and an active member of Canadian College Family Physicians Examination team and Arab Board Examination team. He headed the Department of Family Medicine in Glace Bay, Nova Scotia from 1999-2003. Then, moved to Saudi Arabia and worked at the royal palace while heading the section of Family Medicine at King Faisal Specialist Hospital & Research Center in Riyadh for five years. He participated in teaching Medical students and Residents in Saudi Arabia, and in educating the public at large through his weekly interviews on the national TV. He coordinated the Arab Board of Family Medicine Exam in different regions in the Middle East. After spending 8 years in Saudi Arabia, he moved back to Canada and became the director of Enhanced Skills Family Medicine Residency Program at the University of Calgary from 2011-2013. Then, he moved to Jeddah to establish Family Medicine department at Dr Soliman Fakeeh Hospital. Then, he moved to KAUST (King Abdullah University of Science and Technology) and headed the department of Family Medicine. Then, he was hired by Emaar Economic City as a director of Health Care.
Dr Kevin is well known for his Monday TV interviews on Al-arabiya and was a member of the Canadian team who first ever described Flax Seed oil as a supplement to prevent some chronic diseases. He has published close to 50 articles in different Medical Journals.
